{"id":1912,"date":"2018-07-28T09:34:02","date_gmt":"2018-07-28T09:34:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.minervet.com\/?p=1912"},"modified":"2018-07-28T09:34:02","modified_gmt":"2018-07-28T09:34:02","slug":"glandular-stomach-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.minervet.com\/en\/glandular-stomach-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Glandular stomach"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>glandular stomach<\/strong> or <strong>proventriculus<\/strong> is an organ of the digestive system of birds that presents a spindle-shaped form craniocaudally, somewhat ventral and to the left.<\/p>\n<p>Caudally unites with the muscular stomach in a constriction which is name <strong>isthmus.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The inner surface is covered by simple columnar epithelium; it contains mucin granules. Within the light, an important number of papillae visible macroscopically can be observed.
