It continues as the nasal cavity epithelium on the choanal bypass border.<\/p>\n<p>This picture depicts the opening of the maxillary gland, the opening of lateral and mid palatal glands and the choanal opening (homologous to mammals&#8217; mid palatal suture).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The roof of the mouth is made of an incomplete hard palate.
